Ingredients

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Line a 9 x 13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving enough overhang around the sides to easily lift out the baked dough.
  2. Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a medium bowl until combined. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, using a handheld mixer or a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat the butter on medium-high speed until smooth, about 2 minutes.
  4. Add the granulated sugar and beat on medium-high speed until creamed, about 1 minute.
  5. Add the eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, and beat on high speed until combined, about 1 minute. Scrape down the sides and up the bottom of the bowl and beat again as needed to combine.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix on low speed until combined. The dough will be thick.
  7. Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow the baked cookie dough to cool completely in the pan set on a wire rack. Once cool, remove from the pan by lifting the sides of the parchment paper.
